Sacred Gold Nuzlocke League

Hello everyone,

I’m Kamyu, a Spanish nuzlocker who has been active in the scene for the past couple of years (Run and Bun N86 champion), and I’d like to announce that I’m going to organize a Nuzlocke league with some original ideas I’ve been wanting to test.

The main idea is that the league will consist of a Pokémon Sacred Gold run with the following conditions:

• Hardcore Nuzlocke rules
• You are not allowed to use the calculator, although checking the game documentation is allowed
• Wild Pokémon will be randomized using Similar Strength settings. This will be the only randomization, since trainer teams and Pokémon learnsets will remain exactly the same as in Sacred Gold.

The core concept is that every time a split is successfully completed, I will assign points to each player based on their performance during that split (the scoring criteria will be public, do not worry about that).

At the end of the game, the four players with the highest amount of points will advance to a “Final Four”, consisting of a BO3 Showdown battle in Singles format. Participants are allowed to use the mons that remain alive in their box.

I’m also planning to give a prize to the winner (probably Twitch subs or something similar, I will figure it out).

The general idea is for the tournament to take place throughout July and August, so you will have plenty of time to beat the game.

As mentioned before, it is mandatory to fully stream your run, and participants should already have completed at least one or several Hardcore Nuzlocke runs of the game beforehand.
